School Policies for Casa Program
Lyrical Baby Montessori School welcomes all prospective parents and their families, and has a non-discriminatory admission policy for children. Acceptance into our programs is based on many factors such as: availability, age and gender of the existing mixed-age group, etc. Children may be admitted at any time during the school year, depending on availability of space. Priority is always given to already enrolled students and their siblings.
The admission process can take place at any time of the year. We encourage parents to submit their child's application into our program as early as possible in the school year. If our classes are full, your application will be processed and your child will be placed on a waiting list until a spot becomes available.
It is vital to realize that the Montessori curriculum at the Casa level is based on a three-year cycle. Therefore, it is in the child's best interest that a commitment is made for that length of time.
Requirements:
- Children must be toilet-trained or have begun training to be accepted into our Casa program.
- Previous school/daycare record forms must be submitted for children who are 5 years-old and applying to enter the last year of casa.
Learning Environment
- Schedule that allows for blocks of uninterrupted learning time
- Classroom atmosphere that encourages social interaction
- Space for personal, small groups, and whole class learning activities
- Lightweight, proportionate, movable child-sized furnishing
- Identifiable ground rules
- Aesthetically pleasing environment
- Outdoor space to accommodate rigorous physical activity
